Immerse yourself in Alaska’s magnificent wilderness on the Denali Natural History Tour. Discover the beauty of taiga forests and gaze
at miles of rolling tundra while searching for the area’s wildlife. In the afternoon, board the Wilderness Express, a glass-domed traincar for a scenic ride to Fairbanks.
From 8:30 p.m., Fairbanks is yours to explore. Discover a city, known for its midnight sun and for its hardy locals who play well into the night. Consult with your Tour Director to book an optional authentic Alaskan-style salmon bake, or fly over the Arctic Circle, immersing yourself in the wilderness communities who call the interior home.
After breakfast, discover some of Fairbanks’s most acclaimed and historic landmarks on the Fairbanks City Tour, after which, you’ll travel back in time and uncover Alaska’s gold mining history at Gold Dredge 8.
From 3:00 p.m., Fairbanks is yours to enjoy. Admire the enduring native art treasures on show at the Museum of the North, whose shimmering contours reflect the mountain ranges that encircle it, or explore the town born of the turn-of-the-century gold rush boom.
Your Tour Director will see that you are transferred to the Fairbanks airport for your flight home.
